Google Adsense and Interest-Based Advertising
If you’re using Adsense on your blog you’ve probably received the same email I’ve received from Google. They want to add interest-based advertising that wants to allow advertisers to show ads based on a user’s previous interactions with them, such as visits to advertiser website and also to reach users based on their interests.
Google also needs you to change your Privacy Policy page asap. I’ve changed that, go ahead and change your Privacy Policy also if you want to continue using Google Adsense.
What do you think about this change? I think that it’s a good thing, as long as on my blog will arrive only graphic design “nerds” and web design geeks and they will be shown only relevant ads about free vectors, web design, graphic design, etc. That will be a good thing. There won’t be any more games ads and other ads, but honestly I don’t know how it will affect the CTR. It shouldn’t affect it right? hence they will be shown only relevant ads to them, it should improve. We’ll live and see.
